Station dates
The five moments of the November 2025 Mercury cycle. Mercury stations retrograde in Sagittarius and direct in Scorpio, so the cycle is named for both signs. The retrograde lasts 20 days.

The cazimi is the inferior conjunction: Mercury passes between Earth and the Sun, in the middle of the retrograde. Mercury is within 17′ of the Sun from 06:31 to 12:16 UTC on November 20, 2025. How these are timed.
Signs and degrees
Mercury retraces 16°10′ of the zodiac: it stations retrograde at 6°52′ Sagittarius and backs up to 20°42′ Scorpio before it stations direct. On the way back it leaves Sagittarius and returns to Scorpio, so this retrograde touches two signs. Mercury first reaches 20°42′ Scorpio on October 21, 2025, 19 days before the station, and clears 6°52′ Sagittarius again on December 17, 2025, 18 days after it turns direct: 57 days on these degrees in all. The cazimi falls on day 12 of 20, at 28°18′ Scorpio.
The last Mercury retrograde station in Sagittarius before this one was November 26, 2024 at 02:42 UTC, at 22°40′ Sagittarius. The next one is November 19, 2031 at 21:16 UTC, at 16°03′ Sagittarius. Since 1900, the closest earlier station to 6°52′ Sagittarius came 79 years before, on November 11, 1946 at 04:43 UTC, at 7°20′ Sagittarius, 0°28′ away.
